The Bristol Hotel

Le Royal Meridien is arguably your best bet if you're looking for a hotel that echoes the grandeur of Old Warsaw. This was the star hotel during the 1920's and it quickly reassumed that status following the re-opening by ball-breaker extraordinaire Lady Thatcher in 1993. Previous guests read like a roll call of the major players on the international stage, so you may find yourself rubbing shoulders with a few VIPs. Thank goodness you're not a politician though - you can enjoy Warsaw without having to worry about being photographed by the pesky paparazzi. The splendid suites come in all shapes and sizes, and there are a host of elegant extras downstairs, from beauty salons to solariums, not forgetting an elegant swimming pool. A classic hotel.
